In February, 2002, Sarah, Darius and I went to Amsterdam for a few days. Great trip! We saw a few Lilac Ancienta's (that's phonetic spelling; in Dutch it means "ugly duckling," but I don't know how to spell it), but this is the only one I captured on film. This is a model of Sarah's car, made by Vladimir Fomincev, in Russia, from photographs of it that she sent to him by email! It took him about two months to make, but took about a year to make all financial and delivery arrangements. (It's approximaely 23 cm or 10 inches long. Click on his name to go to the page on his site where he shows his working pictures.) | |||||||||||||||||

A very sad picture; I hope we'll see the rebuilt duck before too long. :-(
