Guyana
It's really in the northeastern corner of South America, (bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Venezuela, Brazil, and Surinam) but culturally, it is more closely related to the Caribbean.
I spent four days in Guyana in January, 2002, and fell in love with it! This is a link to a page of photos from that trip.
