Cape Verde
A very quick update from here, as I have to get back to the boat. (I snuck into town to do this.)
This has been one of the most fantastic trips I can imagine. We began in Punta Arenas, where we boarded the MS Endeavour, and then to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia (!!!!), Tristan da Cunha (most remote inhabited island on earth), St. Helena, Ascension, and now at Cape Verde for two days. We¥ve seen penguins in the hundreds of thousands, more birds than I knew existed, often all in one place, whales, dolphins, sharks, and all sorts of fish, plus more... And those words can't begin to express the actual feeling of the sights. Oh, and icebergs! The scenery is always great. Each island is unique, too. All much more than I ever thought it would be. And with Lindblad, it has been really good, as there are a bevy of naturalists on board, and a historian, and they are GOOD (that's an understatement)! Food, great!
Other passengers are all interesting, staff is wonderful. Well, WOW is all I can say. More detail when I have more time. Until I am off the boat, which will be in four more days...
