Project Title
Plasm: In the Breeze
Project Description (50 words maximum)
Remember that old tire swing from your youth?
"Plasm: In the Breeze" captures the full body
engagment of a swing with the enhancement of
swinging over a synthesized "creek".
Of course being synthetic means the creek has a
life of it's own...

Technical/Computing Requirements
How many computers will be used in your installation?
2
[yes]
This project requires large display screens.
If yes, explain how many and what size:
We won't be using screens in the conventional
sense, we will be projecting onto the floor.
[yes]
This project inlcudes other less conventional display equipment.
If yes, explain:
We will use the floor as the display surface and
some bright Sony projectors to produce the
imagery.
Physical/Space Requirement
How much space will be required to display your project?
The swinging space should be about 20x30 feet.
Depending on whether the swings and projectors
are supported with a structure from the floor or
suspended from the ceiling might need an
additional 10 feet in both dimmension.
Needs to be in a slightly darkened area so the
floor projections are not washed out.
We will have some ambient sounds so a bit of
acoustic isolation will be needed.
Total power needs are 4 circuts:
- 2 20Amp drops for the two personal computers
and their monitors and speakers.
- 2 20Amp drops of suspended power for the
overhead projectors .
How much noise does this installation produce?
[medium]
Is a quiet environment important for this installation?
[somewhat important]
