Some minimal content:
I commisioned the following haiku at the Green Festival in San Francisco 2003
When I speak my mind,
I act like a Patriot -
Democracy's seeds.

I was gifted the following poem at the California Ave. Famers Market in Palo Alto 2020
Pondering thickness of walls,
how hearty should they stand,
these me shaped fortifications
that keep something out
and keep something in.

Should they be as brittle as balsa
wood, ones that crack with wind?
As typical as dry wall? Put up
by gruff ametures.
There's something to be said
for cinder block, something
thick and unbreakable.

But the essential: the wall
must be mobile, quick to assemble
and quicker to break down,
to make yourself open,
reapable again, for one (or many)
that prefer you much better
without brick obscuring
your face, your self.
